I help CEOs, Boards, and senior leadership teams build the vision, align the operations, and deliver the results, for organizations navigating growth and complexity.
Organizations rarely experience challenges as consulting categories. They experience moments when something isn't working. Explore the situations where I can help.
I've spent my career across very different rooms, banking, healthcare regulation, international humanitarian work, national nonprofit leadership, and multi-site health system operations, doing the same thing in each one: taking an organization's biggest ambitions and building the strategy, governance, and operating structure that make them real.
Early on, I made a deliberate choice to lead across finance, human resources and organizational design, technology, risk, facilities, and marketing and communications, not because any one function was the goal, but because understanding how an organization actually runs day to day is what lets strategy become real instead of staying theoretical.
Most recently, I served as Chief Strategy and Integration Officer at a regional health and community services organization serving a population of 750,000+, with enterprise accountability across a 300+ employee, multi-site operation. There, I also designed an equity-based population health program structure spanning Indigenous, Black, newcomer, unsheltered, 2SLGBTQIA+, children and youth, and senior populations, aligning services, staffing, and operations to the communities they were built for.
Before that, as National Vice President, Strategy and Operations for a federation of 99 independently governed agencies, I learned what it means to align an entire network with no formal authority over any single part of it.
Earlier, I led corporate services inside a provincial health profession regulator, and held fiduciary oversight of institutional trust portfolios exceeding $3B at BNY Mellon, giving me direct experience with regulatory environments and financial institutions alongside healthcare delivery. Today, I continue this work as an independent advisor, currently supporting organizations across health and wellness, startups, and education.
I help organizations see beyond what they think is possible, or arrive at a solution they hadn't yet considered, while staying true to why they exist. My focus is enabling real outcomes: removing silos, both inside an organization and across the partners and systems around it, so people, strategy, and operations work as one integrated system.
What ties it together is a consistent pattern: I don't just recommend. I build the coalition, the funding case, and the operating structure that makes an idea real, and stay accountable for it until it holds.
I work with CEOs, Boards, and senior leaders on the moments when an organization's ambition has outgrown its structure. Engagements typically run one to three quarters.
Turning organizational ambition into a strategy the organization can actually execute.
Designing the structures, roles, decision rights, and accountability required to deliver.
Helping Boards and leadership teams create governance that enables rather than constrains the organization.
Helping organizations move from knowing change is necessary to making it real.
Building the systems leaders need to understand performance, manage risk, and make better decisions.
Creating alignment across organizations, partners, and stakeholders, even without formal authority.
Turning important ideas and opportunities into viable organizational initiatives.
Confidential counsel for CEOs and Boards navigating complexity and consequential decisions.
Structuring programs, services, talent, and operations to deliver equitable population health outcomes, aligning the organization to actually serve the populations it exists for.
Engagements span health and wellness, startups, education, and nonprofit sectors. All work is confidential, and client names are withheld under NDA, consistent with standard advisory practice.
Led a multi-stream repositioning engagement: theory of change, strategic plan design, rebrand, and governance restructuring.
Advised founders on strategic clarity, operating structure, and stakeholder positioning during a period of rapid growth.
Supported strategic planning and organizational design to align programming with long-term institutional goals.
Advised on governance redesign, Board composition, skills matrix, role clarity, and a recruitment plan aligned to a refreshed strategy.
Rebuilt enterprise performance tools, including a Balanced Scorecard and enterprise risk framework, to strengthen Board oversight.
Ongoing confidential strategic counsel to executives navigating sector-level challenges and organizational priorities.
I teach Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the graduate and undergraduate level, most recently at the Schulich School of Business and Durham College, bringing twenty years of executive experience directly into the classroom.
I'm also the founder and head curator of TEDxDonMills, where I built and curated a full independent TEDx conference from concept to stage, coaching executives and community leaders to turn complex ideas into compelling talks.
Beyond teaching, I partner with organizations to facilitate meaningful dialogue, strategic thinking, and collective problem-solving.
Creating positive social impact is central to my work. For nonprofit, charitable, educational, and mission-driven organizations, I offer flexible, impact-aligned pricing so meaningful conversations and learning opportunities remain accessible.
Audiences leave with more than frameworks. They leave with a clearer sense of how to turn ambition into structure, align people and operations around a shared strategy, and lead through complexity without losing sight of why the organization exists.
